Real leather bean bags are very popular for modern-retro living

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Our leather bean bags are becoming increasingly popular, to the point where we are out of virtually every real leather bean bag in our entire range!  Maybe it’s the soft, sumptuous nappa leather; maybe it’s the intricate panelled seating areas with fine-detail stitching.  Whatever it is, customers love our real leather bean bags and that makes us extremely proud as we designed them ourselves from scratch.

No need to worry about the lack of stock, though, as more is on the way very soon.  It should be here before the end of November, so any orders placed over the next couple of weeks will be delivered in early December at the latest.  Plenty of time to find its perfect position before relaxing at Christmas.

While I’m on here, I should say a big congratulations to Prince William and Kate Middleton on their engagement!  I’m not exactly one to get excited about royal weddings but there’s no denying that occasions like this seem to lift the spirits of the nation to at least a small degree.  And I’m all for anything that makes a difference to the usual doom and gloom we hear on a daily basis.  So, a toast – to the happy couple!

If you happen to be on Will and Kate’s wedding invitation list, maybe you should think of buying them a nice big, luxurious leather bean bag such as the Sao Paulo…they really are fit for royalty.

High-back XXL leather bean bag back in stock

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

We have taken delivery of the High-back (XXL) bean bag in nappa leather and it is now available to buy online in four colours: Black, Dark Chocolate Brown, Tan Brown and White.

Previously, we offered this beanbag in a thicker ‘dry-mall’ type leather, but we’ve now upgraded it to our finest, soft nappa leather to fit alongside the rest of our leather bean bag range: Sao Paulo beanbag, Sao Luis beanbag and the Santiago beanbag.

As ever, we’ve paid the utmost attention to detail during the leather-sourcing and manufacturing process to ensure our bean bags are finished to the highest possible standard.  We only produce beanbag furniture that offers our customers a feeling of luxury that you just don’t get with many other retailers’ products (who usually opt for the cheaper leather options and may cut corners during the manufacture).

We are currently pricing the High-back (XXL) leather bean bag at just £199 including delivery, a drop of £80 from the RRP.  As things start to hot up for Christmas this price may change and it’s best to get in early as numbers are limited for the time being.

Sao Luis Tan Brown leather bean bag back in stock…for now

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

After a short absence, the increasingly popular Sao Luis tan brown leather bean bag is now back in stock.  Word of warning, however: we only have a few available at the moment and, as I mentioned, they are extremely popular.  They are also still at the hugely discounted price of £219 with FREE delivery, so I’d advise anyone looking at this large, retro-stylish leather bean bag to get in there quickly before they are all snapped up!

A quick congratulations must go to the European Ryder Cup team for their gallant victory over the yanks yesterday.  Although not particularly a golf fan (I’ve played once and had to resort, with the blessing of my opponent, to throwing the ball instead of teeing off as it was much less embarrassing than skewing each drive at such seemingly impossible angles), and not really understanding the rules of the Ryder Cup point-scoring system, I enjoyed the finale on the fourth and final day.  It was nail biting stuff and a pleasure to watch as I relaxed in front of the box on my huge Sao Paulo leather bean bag whenever I managed to sneak off for a tea break.

As usual, huge discounts are still available on all of our luxury designer beanbags.

Outdoor bean bags are still useful!

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

So we’re now well in to Autumn and although the weather has been very pleasant today (I’ve always enjoyed clear, crisp days), conditions at the Ryder Cup is surely a sign of things to come.  The famous old golf tournament has seen plenty of action today but they are struggling to fit everything in to the weekend due to the backlog created by yesterday’s deluge.  I have to say, it does seem strange that the organises would chose the start of October to host a golf tournament in Wales, but I believe they took the decision in order to fit it in with the PGA tour season.

Anyway, with the summer gone our outdoor bean bags have been reduced further in price making them just £67 including delivery!  The coated polyester material is water resistant but is much thicker than most other outdoor materials on the market.  The thickness of the material gives it a marvellous texture for a wonderfully luxurious, tactile feel.  And don’t think they are only for outdoor use because they also make great additions to kids’ bedrooms and conservatories.  You could even put one in the living room to spice things up with an accent colour – they are available in bright, funky colours: pink, lime green, blue and red.

Currently available in our High-back (XXL) style, our outdoor beanbags are huge – big enough for any adult – and a complete bargain at £67.  We’ll be introducing new items soon; you may think that we would wait until next spring but this material is so versatile and popular that we are planning to get them designed and produced and soon as possible.

All other designer bean bags in luxury faux leather and real leathers are still on sale at hugely discounted prices, so visit www.cozibag.co.uk to pick up a bargain today.

We’re back and ready to go…

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

We’ve returned from our annual holiday and all our staff are feeling refreshed and reinvigorated…apart from Mike, who had an extra couple of days off to attend a stag do in a sophisticated and beautiful European city.  We’re all sure that Mike acted with the style and panache that such an environment deserves.

Although there has been a slight backlog caused by our week away, for which we offer our sincere apologies, we are now catching up and will have all remaining bean bag orders dispatched today.  That includes all orders for faux leather bean bags, genuine leather bean bags and outdoor bean bags and top-up bags of bead.

We will have plenty of updates in the coming days of our expanding range of leather bean bags, as well as forthcoming plans to add new pieces of funky, designer lounge furniture to the website to accompany the existing Barcelona Chair (available in real leather for just £349 including delivery).

The summer is still trying to hang on by giving us some fantastic early Autumn sunshine, but even if it is a little late in the year for barbeques, our outdoor canvas bean bags are also fantastic in the home, especially in kids’ bedroom where their water-resistant material is protected against spills.  They are currently on end-of-summer sale at just £69 including delivery, so snap one up today and, as well as being great inside, you’ll be prepared for the outside next spring!

Thanks for reading and please keep checking back for further updates.

Kind regards

The Barcelona Chair is here and it looks great next to a leather bean bag!

Friday, August 20th, 2010

We mentioned a little while back that we would soon be introducing a range of lounge furniture to accompany our designer bean bags.  Well, the first such product is in and it’s a design classic: the Barcelona Chair.

Many people will be familiar with the unique modernistic styling of Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe’s classic, which was designed for the German Pavilion at the Barcelona International Exposition of 1929 – an event which showcased technological developments and design ideas from 20 European nations, as well as private American and Japanese exhibitors.

Born in Aachen, Germany in 1886 (died 1969), Van der Rohe initially worked as a stonemason for his family’s business before studying architecture in Berlin.  He then went on the become a front-runner of the Modernist movement, along with fellow architects such as Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, and quickly directed his efforts as much toward interior aspects as exterior design.

Van der Rohe eventually moved to Chicago, USA, where he continued to dedicate his craft to the Modernist style of architecture in the United States, perhaps most notably in the Seagram Building (1954-8) in New York.

We chose the Barcelona Chair as our first piece of designer lounge furniture as it epitomises our ethos of ‘designer living for everyone’, and the contrast of clean lines against the tactile softness of a leather bean bag looks fantastic.

Our Barcelona Chair is true to the original design with a polished solid-steel frame, thick leather seat straps, Italian leather cushion covers with high-quality buckles and poppers to keep the cushions in place.

New lounge furniture coming soon…

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

It’s been a while since we’ve posted because we’ve been extremely busy behind the scenes of late.

We will soon be announcing some very exciting news about a new product line of designer lounge furniture.  We have worked (and continue to work) tirelessly to source an assortment of funky, high-quality furniture which compliments the modern-retro theme of our luxury bean bags.  We have so far chosen around half a dozen pieces that we will be adding to the current site, but we are also planning to launch a brand new site as the range grows – we have a fair bit of work ahead of us…

Hours of sweat and toil have already gone into arranging a photo shoot to showcase these new products, as well getting a few fresh snaps of our existing leather bean bags.  The shoot took place yesterday in a superb central Birmingham location, and we are desperate to get some of the new images on the site as soon as possible!

Without wanting to give too much away at this time, we are also in discussions about the possibility of taking on new premises so that we can offer customers the option to browse our luxury bean bag- and lounge-furniture in a stylish, relaxed showroom.  We’ll provide more updates soon.

Cozibag and the environment

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Whether we believe the worst-case predictions on global warming or not, most of us are more sensitive towards environmental issues these days.  Even if you don’t believe a single word of the Green lobbyists, it is difficult to argue that the continued use of fossil fuels is not at least detrimental to many localised environments and can/does affect the health of certain groups of people to some degree.

Simple commonsense tells us that we should try to slow-down consumption of the world’s resources.  If we can all do small things that don’t have any noticeable impact our lives, and those small things all add up to make a big difference, why wouldn’t we make those changes?

Personally, I think the jury is still out on whether we really are headed for disaster.  I also think it entirely plausible that some scientists see the theory of global warming as one which guarantees major funding for the foreseeable future, securing jobs in their profession.  Intentional or not, it is certainly possible that this could effect subjectivity to at least some degree.  Then we have the politicians, who are always happy to be presented with new opportunities to increase tax revenues.

However, I am definitely all for a lower reliance on oil – there is, of course, also a huge political, as well as environmental, incentive to do so – and the continued increase in recycling waste.  Recycling is far from a  new idea propagated by the Green movement; humankind has always used and re-used as much as possible.  It’s only the past couple of generations that have become accustomed to mass consumerism and the idea that if something doesn’t work, you throw it away and buy a new one.

As a company, we try to do everything we can to reduce our impact on the environment.  When we buy polystyrene bead for our bean bags, it comes in large polythene bags, and we have been wondering if there is a local company that would like to take this away to recycle.  I remember seeing a report on the local news that showed a company which turns waste plastics into things like garden fence posts.  We are going to start scouring the West Midlands for such a company, so if anybody out there has any ideas we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Well done England!

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Well, England didn’t make it easy for themselves but they eventually put in a good performance and probably deserved to win by more than a single goal.

The next game is now a hugely daunting one against the old foe Germany, who have looked excellent at times.  This is going to be one hell of a game and it could go either way, but the Germans have also been a bit indifferent at times and at long last England fans can have some hope that the team is about to hit top form and go on the rampage!

We have just added our outdoor bean bags to the website.  These high-back (XXL) bean bags are made from a thick polyester fabric that has the feel of canvas.  It’s different to other outdoor materials on the market in that it’s thick and tactile for a more luxurious finish.  Introductory prices are an amazing £64 (RRP £89) with FREE delivery to the UK mainland, so snap one up now and select the Saturday delivery option for just £10 to guarantee delivery on Saturday morning – in time for the big match on Sunday.  With the weather forecast looking good, get the BBQ out, put a few beers on ice and enjoy the day.
