Outdoor bean bags

Monday, July 25th, 2011

In just a couple of weeks time we’ll have some fabulous new outdoor bean bags available to purchase online.  I know, I know, we’re a touch late with the outdoor summer beanbags - we’ve been busy working on projects for our business customers and just never got round to sorting our own stock! – but better late than never.  Besides, July hasn’t been much to shout about whether-wise and the best could well be yet to come.

As I look out the window right now I see clear blue sky, the sun is shining and I can hear children playing in the park – a true British summer’s day.  Does anyone else think that summer days now seem to get warmer later on?  It is always said that midday is the hottest part of the day but I’m honestly not sure I think that’s right.  It always seems so much hotter at around 4pm than it does 12noon.

Anyway, with the good weather hopefully set to continue and the possibility that August and September could be a very warm months, there’s still plenty of time to buy an outdoor beanbag.  Even if mother nature lets us down, it doesn’t matter as our outdoor bean bags are also fantastic indoors.  They give a really funky, playful look to any room, particularly conservatories, summer house and children’s bedrooms.

The quality, as always, will be unbeatable and we are very confident that we’ll be able to offer the best prices around (in relation to quality).  So, keep those barbecues burning and get an outdoor bean bag from Cozibag, because summer is still alive and kicking!

Murray Marches On

So, we all cheered as Murray eased himself to victory against a fella whom Murray’s own mother was seemingly attempting to flirt with via Twitter.  I don’t know about you, but that was enough to put me off my Pimms.  Still, back to the tennis and the big Murray Mint is marching towards that most elusive of finals for British tennis players.  (Actually, all finals are elusive for most British tennis players).

A win today against Spaniard Feliciano Lopez would set up a mouth watering semi-final against Rafael Nadal, should the number one seed overcome the American player Fish (no, I don’t know who he is either) in his tie.

Relax on a Bean Bag

A bean bag is perfect for relaxing whilst watching any sporting event.  Our Everlast Faux Leather range is a luxury fabric that is also extremely hard wearing.  It’s unique to Cozibag Bean Bags UK and all products in the range come with a comprehensive 3 year guarantee.  The high-back XXL bean bag is particularly popular due to its size and flexibility; sink down low for a laid-back lounge around, or perch higher up for a more upright position.  Whichever bean bag you choose and whichever way you use it, a Cozibag bean bag is ideal for those times when you just want to take it easy.

Cozibag Bean Bags has teamed up with Trust Pilot Reviews

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

As you may have noticed on our website, we’ve signed up to the independent and reputable review website Trust Pilot.

The Trust Pilot system is used by many large companies and allows all customers to leave feedback, good or bad, about their purchases.  It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while but just haven’t got round to.  We know it’s a very worth while exercise because we are completely confident in our bean bag furniture and it’s a great way to convey that confidence to our customers.  More and more these days, consumers are taking control and giving other internet users as much information as possible so that they can make informed choices about the products and services they buy.

We all know how difficult it can be deciding whether or not to trust a website, and whilst our prices are comparatively low, it’s still a fairly big investment.  When looking for top quality items such as our designer leather bean bags, we would expect all of our customers to think carefully before making a purchase.  We’ve offered free material samples for years so that potential customers can be confident in what they are about to buy, and this new review system is just another level of consumer knowledge.

I recently moved house and found the process of finding a good, well-priced conveyancer an absolute nightmare.  Strangely for such a big market, there aren’t that many places to go to help you make a decision.  I found a decent one in the end after a bit of digging online, but it really struck home how the internet is, above all else, a place for normal people to communicate ideas for the general good.

The ‘Trustbox’ is a module that runs on our web pages and gives a snapshot of customer ratings.  By clicking on this, visitors can view all reviews left for Cozibag beanbags.  Although we’d like every single customer to leave feedback (the more the merrier as far as we’re concerned), we know that’s not realistic and are very pleased with the response so far.  We have a ‘Perfect’ overall rating, although every score isn’t actually perfect as there are one or two where we have admittedly made errors.  However, we’re only human and we endeavour to rectify mistakes straight away, and the main thing is that customers can see this as well as read about how happy our customers are with the quality of their bean bags.

New, smaller Slouch and house moving…

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Following a few customers realising that the original version was just too big, we’ve introduced a smaller version of the Slouch bean bag in our market-leading Everlast Faux Leather material.

With a diameter reduced to 120cm from 140cm (height dimensions remain the same), we hope it’ll offer a viable alternative when space is a little tighter.  As with all of our Everlast Faux Leather bean bags, it’s incredibly strong, delightfully luxurious and comes with a genuine 3 year guarantee.  It’s also priced at just £99 for the time being so I’d definitely recommend it.

On a personal note, I am currently in the process of buying a property for the first time with my partner.  I have previously rented owned houses but strictly on a bachelor basis!  Now, having been with my girlfriend for a number of years, it’s the right time for us to get our own place.  With the housing market in it’s current state, it is quite clear that it’s a buyers market.  We’ve viewed several properties and have been advised that most vendors are open to offers.  We’ve also noticed that houses we looked at some time ago are still on the market, often with reduced prices.

Whilst this situation can be a bit of a nightmare for people who fairly recently bought towards the peak of the market (I should know because I was in that position), it does seem that house prices are correcting themselves after years of crazy, constant rises.

We may now have found the right place but nothing is finalised yet.  What is for certain is that I’ll be taking my Santiago real leather bean bag with me.  I’m planning to decorate this place with freed abandon to produce a cool, create environment…that’s if my girlfriend agrees.  Part of this will be a really soft, relaxed area where my leather bean bag will sit with pride.

Luckily, we won’t have to hire a house removal firm because we have access to a great van hire company here in Birmingham.  As well as all types of vans for hire, they also offer 7.5t vans at a very reasonable rate.  Being old enough to have been automatically issued with a 7.5t entitlement on my driving licence, it’ll be the perfect solution.  Whilst we’re talking transport, a quick mention should go to our local courier/logistics firm, WS Distribution, which does a fantastic job for us.

We’re back and ready to go…

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

We’ve returned from our annual holiday and all our staff are feeling refreshed and reinvigorated…apart from Mike, who had an extra couple of days off to attend a stag do in a sophisticated and beautiful European city.  We’re all sure that Mike acted with the style and panache that such an environment deserves.

Although there has been a slight backlog caused by our week away, for which we offer our sincere apologies, we are now catching up and will have all remaining bean bag orders dispatched today.  That includes all orders for faux leather bean bags, genuine leather bean bags and outdoor bean bags and top-up bags of bead.

We will have plenty of updates in the coming days of our expanding range of leather bean bags, as well as forthcoming plans to add new pieces of funky, designer lounge furniture to the website to accompany the existing Barcelona Chair (available in real leather for just £349 including delivery).

The summer is still trying to hang on by giving us some fantastic early Autumn sunshine, but even if it is a little late in the year for barbeques, our outdoor canvas bean bags are also fantastic in the home, especially in kids’ bedroom where their water-resistant material is protected against spills.  They are currently on end-of-summer sale at just £69 including delivery, so snap one up today and, as well as being great inside, you’ll be prepared for the outside next spring!

Thanks for reading and please keep checking back for further updates.

Kind regards

Flexi days

Monday, May 17th, 2010

A friend of mine yesterday mentioned how she planned to take today off work using one of her ‘flexi days’.  It sounded like a very generous system, one which I’m sure helps to keep staff morale as high as possible.  I’m always impressed with companies that offer their employees such perks – the ‘duvet day’ is the latest phenomenon! – and at Cozibag Bean Bags we like to work in as relaxed an environment as possible.  After all, a happy workforce is a productive workforce.

You can’t beat taking a day off to give yourself a nice long weekend.  The question is: do you take off the Friday or the Monday?  Bit of a tough one this, Fridays have an exciting feel about them, a sense of impending joy for the weekend ahead; Mondays have a more relaxed feel about them, a sense that you’ve managed to miss the drudgery of a Monday morning at work.

Either way, with a Cozibag bean bag to hand and the spring sunshine showering your garden, it’s a wonderful feeling.  Get yourself up at a leisurely hour and treat yourself to an indulgent breakfast – maybe that would be a full fry-up with a mug of tea; maybe some delightful pastries with fresh coffee.  Then, take your Everlast Faux Leather Bean Bag outside into the garden and sit back as you read the morning paper to discover what Dave and Nick are up to, or where the ash cloud has blown.  After that it’s off to the shops/gym/countryside/pub – whatever takes you fancy.  Whichever you choose, you will no doubt come home feeling a little tired, so it’s time to order yourself a takeaway before relaxing back on your luxurious leather bean bag to watch some TV!

ALL of our bean bags are still around 40% off (or more), so visit www.cozibag.co.uk today.

Leather bean bags have come a long way

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Bean bags were once seen as a low budget seating option.  You can still buy the familiar design from the 1970s, but the range of styles now available is almost endless and often far from being low-end, budget furniture.

One of the most popular forms of the bean bag is the complete opposite to cheap and cheerful seating: the leather bean bag.  Cozibag’s range of leather beanbags is aimed towards those looking for designer-living, something to add a dash of quirkiness to a modern penthouse apartment or a vibrant townhouse, perhaps.  However, we always stick to our ethos of ‘Designer living for all’ by offering high-end designer quality at sensible prices.

We have recently been out of stock of our much-lauded Santiago and Sao Paulo Beanbags but are expecting stock any day now.  Along with this new stock, we will introduce a new style in the luxury leather range: the Sao Luis.

The idea behind the Sao Luis Bean Bag is to provide a slightly smaller option to the ever-popular Sao Paulo.  We have found that some customers simply don’t envisage how big the Sao Paulo will be and are astonished when it arrives because it greedily demands more space than expected!  Therefore, we plan to offer a smaller alternative for when space is a little more limited.

We still have discounts of at least 40% on virtually all bean bags on the site, so check out our leather range at www.cozibag.co.uk.

Spring is sort of here…

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

This past week has certainly filled me with a bit of optimism; the sun popped his head out and the mercury even threatened to reach double figures (celsius).  Unfortunately, as I write this blog, the sky is miserable and that winter chill has sneakily crept back in to the air.  However, I won’t let it get me down as I’m still confident that those endlessly-long, bright, lazy days are just around the corner.

This is now the time to start pondering your next move at home.  Do you concentrate on replacing that tatty old garden fence and building a huge brick barbeque, which you have promised to do every year in living memory?  While you’re at it, why not buy some bean bag furniture for the garden?  It’s a great way to provide your guests with comfortable and versatile seating options – perfect for plonking down in the garden with a burger in one hand, a beer in the other, and the summer sun beating down on your pasty skin (please wear sun-screen).

We plan to introduce a new range of outdoor bean bags very soon, so more news of that in the coming weeks, but our Everlast Luxury Faux Leather Beanbags are also great outdoors.  The Everlast material is the most luxurious faux leather you’ll find in the UK, and because it’s also thick and strong, it’s remarkably sturdy and can take a beating.

Returns

Friday, February 19th, 2010

It is often a problem with online shopping that customers can’t view products ‘in the flesh’ before making a purchase.  With this in mind, Cozibag offers free colour swatches to allow potential customers to check out the quality of the materials before deciding on a purchase.  We are confident that none of our luxury bean bags can be matched for quality, so we find this to be an excellent way of showing consumers that we mean business and that we are not just another online retailer trying to bang out as many cheap goods as possible for short-term profits!

We strongly believe in offering high-quality bean bag furniture at modest prices – of course, you can find cheaper bean bags elsewhere but we are confident they won’t be of the same quality (in many cases we know this for a fact as we have bought from competitors).

Another, and most notable, example of the confidence we show in our products is our returns policy.  Look around at other companies selling bean bags and you’ll usually see a range of fees lurking in the dreaded ‘Terms and Conditions’.  Some charge a restocking fee (usually more than the cost of courier fees), often on top of courier fees; some will simply charge sky-high courier fees; some will not mention specific fees (at least not in a way that’s visible to the human eye) until, of course, you decide to return your beanbag and they then hit you with it!; some will simply say that returns are accepted but you must make your own arrangements.

Now, this last point is a clever ruse.  These companies know that it is very difficult to send such a large item without paying through the roof.  We know from experience that bean bags as large as ours are not easy to post – they are way too big for the Royal Mail and usually larger than the standard maximum dimensions set by courier firms, which means they will be calculated ‘volumetrically’, and this costs a lot.

Companies such as ours have worked hard to negotiate contracts that enable us to ship our giant bean bags at reasonable rates (and, of course, we have to send minimum quantities in order to get those rates).  All of this means that the average customer will not have access to a service which can deliver large packages for sensible prices (it’s no exaggeration to say that one of our average-sized packages might cost £50+ if sent on a standard next-day courier service).  Companies that ask customers to make their own arrangements know all of this and therefore expect the majority of people to simply not bother.

Cozibag Beanbags operates differently.  We take the hassle away from our customers and show our costs up front (we even subsidise them at a loss).  Therefore, you can be safe in the knowledge that if you change your mind after buying a Cozibag Bean Bag, we will offer to collect it and charge a fair price – with no ‘restocking fee’.  Every product page on our website clearly shows courier delivery and collection fees for that particular product.

Of course, if you do happen to have access to a delivery service which offers superb rates, you are more than welcome to arrange your own return (we don’t mind this as it saves us money!).

Christmas-to-New Year deliveries & VAT increase

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

.

There are a few delivery restrictions between Christmas and the new year due to some of our suppliers being closed for the festive period.  All bean bag orders received up until 2pm today (Tuesday 29th December) will be dispatched as usual, but any orders received after this time and up until 11am Monday 4th January will be delivered on Tuesday 5th January 2010 (to UK Zone 1 delivery areas – other areas will be the following day).

There’s been much talk about the forthcoming increase in the standard rate of VAT, from 15% to its previous level of 17.5%, on 1st January.  Our sale prices will continue into January and remain for the entire first month of the new year.  We will not be passing on the VAT increase just yet, so our customers will have all month to decide on the perfect beanbag without rushing into something.  We think it seems much fairer that way.

That means you can still bag a real leather bean bag or faux leather bean bag way below standard prices for the next 4 weeks so have a browse, request some colour samples and think it over: there’s no rush.
